AroFlo

ServiceYak vs AroFlo

AroFlo is a deep, long-established field service platform that doesn't publish a price. ServiceYak is $37 a seat with every feature in it and a 30-day trial you can start now. Here's the honest comparison of two products aimed at different ends of the market.

AroFlo and ServiceYak, side by side

AroFlo has been running Australian field service businesses for a long time, and it goes deeper than we do — inventory, project stages, and a level of configuration that suits a business with somebody whose job includes owning the system. It's a serious product with a serious reputation, and for a certain kind of business it's the right answer.

The two differences that matter before you get anywhere near a feature list are how much you're going to pay, and how long it takes to find out. AroFlo's pricing page publishes no figure at all. It names AroFlo Premium, lists what's in it, and gives you two buttons: Request Pricing, and Get a Free Demo. ServiceYak is $37 per user per month, ex GST, published on our pricing page, with a 30-day trial that needs no card and no conversation.

That isn't a gap in our research. We checked their pricing page in August 2026 and the figure isn't there — which is a finding, not an omission. We won't publish a number a vendor hasn't, and the estimates circulating for AroFlo come from a competitor's comparison table rather than from AroFlo.

A published price against a request

There's a good reason enterprise software is sold this way: when the product is configured per customer, the price is too. It's a legitimate model. It also means you can't budget, you can't compare, and you can't sanity-check the figure against what the business next door is paying — because none of you know.

Our number is on the pricing page and it's the same number for everybody: $37 per user per month, or $370 per user per year, ex GST, in Australian dollars, on a GST-itemised invoice. Add a seat when you take someone on; drop it when the season slows down. We sell two optional extras and nothing else: the AI Suite at $12 per user per month for crews that run through the standard AI allowance, and a one-page website at $7 a month for the whole workspace.

How you start

AroFlo's route in is a demo. Book it, sit through it, get a quote back. Again — a reasonable process for a platform that gets configured to a business.

Ours is a signup form. You get 30 days free, no credit card, and the full app — not a restricted trial tier. The useful thing about that is you can test it on real work: quote two actual jobs, run one to invoice, and see whether your crew will put anything into it on site. That tells you more than any demo, because the demo is always driven by somebody who already knows where everything is.

  • Sign up and quote today — five steps from the quote list to a sent quote: create, pick the client and address, add your lines, send.
  • Test it on your phone, in a roof cavity or a switchboard room, before you decide anything. The app is the full app on iOS and Android, not a cut-down field companion.
  • Nothing is charged unless you enter billing details at the end of the 30 days.

One plan, no tiers to work out

Every ServiceYak seat gets every feature. Quoting, scheduling, invoices and payments, timesheets, purchase orders, 16 reports, AI meeting summaries and the Smart Scanner are in the one subscription. There is no starter tier that withholds half of it and no enterprise tier above it.

There are no caps on your work either. Send as many quotes, run as many jobs and raise as many invoices as you can win — the only monthly allowance in ServiceYak is on AI, because AI runs on compute we pay for every time it's used.

What AroFlo does that we don't

A fair amount, and it isn't close on any of it. AroFlo is built for the deeper end of the market and we're not pretending otherwise.

  • Inventory and stock control. AroFlo tracks stock. ServiceYak doesn't — it isn't the market we build for. If you carry stock across a warehouse and a set of vans and you need it counted, we are the wrong tool and no amount of price advantage fixes that.
  • Project stages and progress claims. Multi-stage commercial projects with staged claims are AroFlo territory. We handle jobs, not project accounting.
  • Depth and configuration. Years of accumulated capability, configurable to how a specific business runs. That is genuinely what you'd be paying for, and it's real.
  • A support team with a track record. AroFlo's Australian support is consistently well spoken of by the people who use it. We think ours is good, but we've been around a fraction of the time and you should weight those two things accordingly.

The honest version of this comparison is that these two products are aimed at different businesses. If the list above describes your work, get the demo and get the quote. If it doesn't, you'd be buying depth you'll never open — and that's the case where $37 a seat and a trial you can start this afternoon is the better answer.

Annual billing takes ServiceYak to $370 a seat a year — $30.83 a month. We could have filled AroFlo's column with a figure from a third-party blog and the table would look more useful; it would also be a specific, checkable claim about a named company sourced from someone who isn't them. Ask AroFlo for a quote at your seat count and put it next to $37 × seats.

Switching from AroFlo

The runbook is the same for any job management app. The one AroFlo-specific note is that a deeper system usually holds more configuration worth writing down before you leave it.

  1. Export before you cancel. Client list and job history out first, while the subscription is live. Afterwards it's a support ticket, if it's possible at all.
  2. Write down the configuration, not just the data. Cost centres, job types, custom fields and form templates are the part that took the longest to set up. Screenshot them before the account closes — the data export won't capture how it was all wired together.
  3. Rebuild rates and line items first. That's the asset that makes quoting fast wherever it lives. Load your kits and templates before you quote anything real.
  4. Reconnect the books and test one invoice end to end. Connect Xero or QuickBooks, raise one real invoice, and check it lands on the right account before you trust it with a month's work.
  5. Move at a quiet point in the year. Not mid-project, and not in December.
Common questions

AroFlo and ServiceYak, answered.

For a business at the deeper end of the market, yes. If you carry stock, run multi-stage projects with progress claims, need regulation-grade compliance forms, or have someone whose job includes administering the system, AroFlo is built for that and ServiceYak isn't. Where we're the better answer is the other end: a small crew that quotes, schedules, invoices and gets paid, wants the price published, and would rather test the thing on real jobs than sit through a demo.

They don't publish it. Their pricing page names AroFlo Premium, lists the features, and offers Request Pricing or Get a Free Demo — checked August 2026. There are figures for AroFlo circulating on comparison sites, including one published by a competitor of theirs, and we won't repeat any of them. The only reliable number is the quote AroFlo gives you.

Because a specific dollar figure attached to a named company is a checkable claim, and a wrong one is misleading whether or not it was well-intentioned. Second-hand pricing in this market is routinely out by a wide margin — we've checked vendors' own pages against what their rivals publish about them and the two don't match. We'd rather have a table with a gap in it than add to that.

You can sign up and send a real quote the same day — it's five steps from the quote list to a sent quote once your rates are in. The part worth spending time on is loading your price list and kits, because that's what makes every quote after it fast. There's no implementation project and no setup fee.

No. There's no stock control in ServiceYak and it isn't planned — it's not the market we build for. If you need stock counted across a warehouse and vans, AroFlo does that and we don't.

Everything, for 30 days, with no credit card. There's no restricted trial tier — you get the same single plan every paying customer gets, so what you test is what you'd buy. Nothing is charged unless you enter billing details at the end.
