Add your first client
Clients are the people and businesses you work for. Save a client once and you can quote, schedule and invoice them in a couple of taps — no re-typing their details every time.
You'll create a client record with their name and contact details, ready to attach to quotes, jobs and invoices.
Step by step
- Open Contacts. Go to Contacts and make sure you're on the Clients tab.
- Add a new client. Tap New client to start a fresh record.
- Enter their details. Add the client's name, email, phone and site address. The email is where their quotes and invoices are sent.
- Save. Save the client — it's now ready to use anywhere in ServiceYak.
Tips
- Add a site address if it differs from the billing address — it flows through to jobs and shows on the map.
- Got a spreadsheet of existing clients? Use Import to bring them all in at once instead of adding them one by one.
- You can add extra contacts to a client, like a site manager and a separate accounts email.
What happens next
With a client saved, you're ready to build your first quote for them.
Common questions
What's the difference between a client and a supplier?
A client is who you invoice; a supplier is who you buy from. They're kept in separate tabs under Contacts.
Can I import my existing clients?
Yes. Use Import on the Clients tab to upload a CSV or spreadsheet, and ServiceYak will match the columns for you.
