Schedule a job
A job is the work you've won, on your calendar. ServiceYak keeps the client, the quote, the site and your notes and photos together in one place.
You'll turn an accepted quote into a job (or create one from scratch) and put it on the calendar so your crew knows where to be.
Step by step
- Open Jobs. Go to Jobs and tap New job — or open an accepted quote and convert it to a job to carry the details across.
- Set the client and site. Confirm who the job's for and where it is.
- Schedule it. Pick the date and time and, if you've got a crew, assign who's on it.
- Save. The job appears on your calendar with everything attached.
Tips
- Converting an accepted quote into a job copies the client, items and pricing across for you.
- Add site photos and notes as the job progresses so nothing gets lost.
- Assign team members so everyone sees their jobs on their own calendar.
What happens next
When the work's done, you'll raise an invoice for it — that's the next step.
Common questions
Do I have to quote before creating a job?
No — you can create a job directly. But converting an accepted quote saves you re-typing the details.
Can my crew see their jobs?
Yes. Assign them to a job and it shows on their calendar, with the access you've given them.
